Odgovor na to pitanje daje znanstveni rad na\u0161ih znanstvenika iz Splita i Zagreba \u2013 koji se ne bavi fitofarmakologijom nego nanotehnologijom.<\/p>\n<p>Jedna od malobrojnih misli gr\u010dkog filozofa Talesa iz Mileta koje su se u \u201erasutom stanju\u201c (u obiku fragmenata) sa\u010duvale do na\u0161ih dana je i ova: \u201e\u010cini se da je i Tales, po onome \u0161to spominju, prihvatio da je du\u0161a ne\u0161to \u0161to poti\u010de gibanje, ako je upravo govorio da kamen ima du\u0161u jer primi\u010de \u017eeljezo.\u201c Ne\u0107emo sada o tome \u0161to ima, a \u0161to nema du\u0161u, je li du\u0161a ono \u0161to poti\u010de gibanje i u kakvoj vezi stoji gibanje sa \u017eivotom \u2013 nego \u0107emo se radije zapitati kakav je to kamen \u201ekoji primi\u010de \u017eeljezo\u201c?<\/p>\n<p>Iza Talesova \u201e\u017eivog kamena\u201c krije se prirodni magnet \u2013 mineral\u00a0<strong>magnetit<\/strong>, Fe<sub>3<\/sub>O<sub>4<\/sub>. Ime je dobio po gr\u010dkom dje\u010daku Magnesu koji je \u010duvaju\u0107i ovce primijetio da mu neki tamni, tvrdi i te\u0161ki kamen privla\u010di \u017eeljezne \u010davle na sandalama. Je li ba\u0161 tako bilo ili je ipak rije\u010d o legendi, ne bih znao re\u0107i, no carstvu bajki svakako pripada arapsko vjerovanje da se na dalekom sjeveru iz mora uzdi\u017ee magnetska planina (sazdana o\u010dito od \u010distog magnetita) koja privla\u010di magnetske igle, a ako joj se pomorci previ\u0161e pribli\u017ee, privla\u010dit \u0107e i njihove brodove \u2013 sve dok ih o svoje hridi ne razbije.<\/p>\n<p>No kako bilo da bilo magnetit je magneti\u010dni mineral, mineral po kojem su poslije svi magneti dobili ime, a na kraju i sama pojava \u2013 magnetizam. Magnetit se po izgledu i svojstvima malo razlikuje od drugog, \u010de\u0161\u0107eg minerala \u017eeljeza,\u00a0<strong>hematita\u00a0<\/strong>(Fe<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>3<\/sub>), no oba slu\u017ee kao \u017eeljezne rude. I u kemijskom smislu je magnetit neobi\u010dan, jer dok hematit sadr\u017ei \u017eeljezo u samo jednom oksidacijskom stanju, stanju Fe(III), magnetit ga sadr\u017ei u\u00a0<strong>oba osnovna oksidacijska stanja<\/strong>, Fe(II) i Fe(III).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1716470367072{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;]\n<figure class=\"image image--full\"><a class=\"img-gallery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bug.hr\/img\/lijek-protiv-raka-iz-zeljeza-i-kamilice_jrj7N8.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy lazyLoaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bug.hr\/img\/lijek-protiv-raka-iz-zeljeza-i-kamilice_wjDE_i.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-original=\"\/img\/lijek-protiv-raka-iz-zeljeza-i-kamilice_wjDE_i.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Prevedeno na obi\u010dni jezik: magnetit je mnogo te\u017ee prirediti od hematita, \u0161to se vidi i po tome \u0161to magnetit nastaje u posebnim geolo\u0161kim uvjetima, naime pri temperaturama vi\u0161im od 575\u00a0<sup>o<\/sup>C. No kako to obi\u010dno biva, komplicirani se kemijski procesi mogu rije\u0161iti jednostavnim kemijanjem: pomije\u0161ajte otopinu \u017eeljezova triklorida, FeCl<sub>3<\/sub>, s natrijevom lu\u017einom, NaOH, i tome dodajte\u00a0<strong>\u010daj od kamilice<\/strong>. Nakon grijanja u mikrovalnoj pe\u0107nici, na ni\u017eoj (200\u00a0<sup>o<\/sup>C) ili vi\u0161oj temperaturi (260\u00a0<sup>o<\/sup>C) te nakon centrifugiranja i su\u0161enja dobit \u0107ete magnetit, ali ne u obliku crnog tvrdog kamena nego u vidu\u00a0<strong>nano\u010destica<\/strong>\u00a0prosje\u010dnog promjera 79 nm (prvi postupak, S1) ili 61 nm (drugi postupak, S2).<\/p>\n<p>Taj krajnje jednostavan postupak djelo je na\u0161ih znanstvenika iz splitskog Prirodoslovno-matemati\u010dkog fakulteta (Lucija Gu\u0107, Doris Crn\u010devi\u0107, Renata Od\u017eak, Matilda \u0160prung, Kristian Naki\u0107, Ivana Mitar) i tamo\u0161njeg Kemijsko-tehnolo\u0161kog fakulteta (Andrea Paut, Ante Prki\u0107) te Instituta Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 u Zagrebu (Martina Vranki\u0107, Pavla \u0160enjug, Damir Paji\u0107 i Marijan Marciu\u0161). O njemu su izvijestili u znanstvenom radu \u201e<em>Plant-mediated synthesis of magnetite nanoparticles with Matricaria chamomilla aqueous extract<\/em>\u201c, objavljenom ove godine u \u010dasopisu\u00a0<em>Nanomaterials<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"image image--full\"><a class=\"img-gallery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bug.hr\/img\/lijek-protiv-raka-iz-zeljeza-i-kamilice_Xq6EsJ.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy lazyLoaded alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bug.hr\/img\/lijek-protiv-raka-iz-zeljeza-i-kamilice_dV_Gdd.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-original=\"\/img\/lijek-protiv-raka-iz-zeljeza-i-kamilice_dV_Gdd.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-bughr_article_inside\" class=\"ad--inside-note ad\" data-google-query-id=\"CMfn1obym4YDFaMuVQgd024J0w\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/92750012\/bug.hr\/bughr_article_inside_0__container__\" class=\" adexElement\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Iza opisanog postupka krije se mnogo kemijskih jednad\u017ebi, no kada se svede na bitno dolazi se do ne\u010deg sasvim jednostavnog. Da bi od trovalentnog \u017eeljeza (FeCl<sub>3<\/sub>) nastao magnetit, ono se mora djelomi\u010dno\u00a0<strong>reducirati<\/strong>\u00a0na dvovalentno \u017eeljezo (Fe<sup>2+<\/sup>). No za to treba\u00a0<strong>redukcijsko sredstvo<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a to je upravo (filtrirani) \u010daj od kamilice ili, kemijski preciznije,\u00a0<strong>flavonoidi<\/strong>\u00a0(polifenoli) koji se u njemu nalaze!<\/p>\n<p>Iza ovog nadasve zanimljivog i domi\u0161ljatog kemijskog postupka krije se jo\u0161 ne\u0161to: njegova primjena.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"image image--full\"><a class=\"img-gallery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bug.hr\/img\/lijek-protiv-raka-iz-zeljeza-i-kamilice_Pco-kK.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy lazyLoaded aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bug.hr\/img\/lijek-protiv-raka-iz-zeljeza-i-kamilice_WfNb5d.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-original=\"\/img\/lijek-protiv-raka-iz-zeljeza-i-kamilice_WfNb5d.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Nano\u010destice magnetita, koje su usto stabilizirane adsorpcijom organskih tvari iz \u010daja od kamilice, su\u00a0<strong>citotoksi\u010dna<\/strong>. Jo\u0161 zanimljivije, citotoksi\u010dnost im ovisi o veli\u010dini. Ve\u0107e \u010destice (S1) pokazuju naime pribli\u017eno istu citotoksi\u010dnost prema normalnim stranicama kao i prema stanicama raka, dok je kod manjih \u010destica (S2) citotoksi\u010dnost prema stanicama raka (IC<sub>50\u00a0<\/sub>~ 0,19 mg\/mL) dvostruko, pa i \u010detverostruko ve\u0107a nego prema zdravim stanicama (IC<sub>50<\/sub>\u00a0= 0,45 \u2013 0,75 mg\/mL). Dodajmo tome da je mogu\u0107e zbog magnetskih svojstava (superparamagnetizam) \u010destice magnetetita koncentrirati u bolesno, tumorsko tkivo, pa jo\u0161 da one mogu adsorbirati organske tvari, me\u0111u kojima i one koje djeluju protiv tumorskih stanica&#8230; \u0160to re\u0107i drugo nego: nova metoda lije\u010denja raka je na vidiku.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Osvrt dr. sc.
