Istra\u017eivanje koristi vi\u0161estrani pristup, kombiniraju\u0107i genomsko sekvenciranje bakterije <em>V. gigantis<\/em> i novootkrivenog bakteriofaga, funkcionalnu karakterizaciju gena, analizu dinamike biofilma i istra\u017eivanje uloge bakteriofaga u transformaciji <em>V. gigantis<\/em>. Studija ima za cilj razjasniti molekularne mehanizme koji pokre\u0107u stvaranje biofilma, s fokusom na stani\u010dnu komunikaciju putem AI-2 signalnih molekula (engl. <em>Quorum sensing<\/em>), te procijeniti potencijal bakteriofaga kao vektora za genetsku transformaciju i prevenciju infekcija.
