The double-specialisation in computer science and technics ensures students acquire technical, computer science and computing competences, thereby supplementing their polytechnical capabilities. Teaching is organised by providing compulsory and elective courses with a focus on laboratory exercises and practical work. Acquired polytechnical competences at the graduate level are supplemented with modern discoveries from the humanities and social sciences enabling students to acquiring teaching competences. The Department of Polytechnics, along with other department at the Faculty of Science, provides the opportunity for ongoing schooling in the interdisciplinary scientific postgraduate study programme Education Research in Natural and Technical Sciences, with a specialisation in Technics.
