COURSES

All study programmes delivered by the Faculty of Science are available to international students. However, at present time, we rarely offer full lectures in English. Students are usually provided with individual consultations, literature and exams in English. Laboratory exercises are carried out in a small-sized group of students, with instructions available in both languages (Croatian and English). Some courses may not be offered each academic year. Please check our Erasmus catalogue for courses availability, description, and enrolment prerequisites.
Next academic year’s catalogue is usually available starting late Spring. Meanwhile you can check current year’s catalogue for reference.

Make sure you check courses description, and enrolment prerequisites. Do not choose courses for which you do not have enough prior knowledge. Also, keep in mind semester parity (1, 3, 5 = Autumn, 2, 4, 6 = Spring).

OTHER INSTITUTIONS

University of Split consists of a number of Faculties and Departments. Each of them has their own website, Erasmus coordinator and Erasmus catalogue. You are allowed to take courses on other institutions, provided that

– you obtain permission from the respective coordinators,
– at least 50% of ECTS is taken at your host institution (in this case Faculty of Science).

Keep in mind that choosing courses from multiple institutions might make it difficult to organise your schedule. However, many relatable faculties and departments are located nearby (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Naval ArchitectureFaculty of Economics, Business and Toursim) or even in the same building (Faculty of Chemistry and TechnologyDepartment of Marine StudiesFaculty of Maritime Studies).

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers 5 ECTS course Croatian Language for Foreigners (at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels) as well as Croatian Culture and Civilization.
