The undergraduate study programme Mathematics has an interesting, diverse and achievable programme in which various mathematics, computer science and physics courses supplement and complement one another. There are three specialisations in this study programme: mathematics, computer science and applied mathematics, demanding a highly scientific approach to all mathematics courses in the programme. This kind of approach to mathematical content is ordinarily called the engineering approach. The study programme covers 3 years and upon its completion, students receive a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. The first year of the study programme is an entirely common approach to all specialisations, where students decide on one of the three offered specialisations to pursue in the second year of studies. Though there are different common courses in the second and third year, the programme nonetheless depends on the selected specialisation.
