Collaborations
Application and development of isolation, distillation and extraction methods of volatile compounds from plant material rich in secondary metabolites and other protective natural products. Their division into phytochemical composition, using chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. Research of the biological activity of the obtained samples, which are mixtures of compounds or individual compounds, and other isolates specific to plant material. Research on Intermediate Biodiversity with regard to environmental factors, and adaptation of treatment methods to obtain biologically more stable and nutritional and nutritionally valuable compounds. Cooperation is planned through the University of Split project with the economic sector and the commercialization of the results of scientific research. Projects are planned to co-operate with OPGs and organic food producers with the aim of analyzing the composition of essential oils of aromatic Mediterranean plants for family farms.
